Cute German Shepherd photos (log of Glitch the dog)
Yesterday I put the deposit on a new puppy!! I will be picking him up on May 28th, and can't wait. We were with them for hours yesterday, the
cuteness was unbearable.

Congrats Jent. I was actually just talking to a breeder the other day that had some similar pups up in North Dakota. They are beautiful dogs. I love
their athletic look.

Those are some cute little pups jensen. I have to get the cable to connect my camera but I guess I could post up some older shots of Riker from when
I first got him. Its gonna be a great summer of camping and dog training Jensen. |

Breeder sent me a new photo....not too much to report as I plan to post more photos once I actually get him (OMG time is killing me till Friday, so
anxious).

Glitch is doing great. He is a bunch of energy, and a little snot, but he is a puppy so to be expected. He is starting to get the hang of things,
getting into his routine, and starting to learn the rules.
His ears are almost standing up! They may stand up fully within 1 or 2 weeks I think.
Here is a photo of him from a few days ago. I have taken more, but been too busy to download them, so this is from my phone. (was trying to distract
him with some grass so he would stay still long enough for the photo)

I changed the title of this thread a bit....I plan to just keep posting pictures of my dog "Glitch" on here, so this is basically the little puppies
blog.
This weekend I left him with my mom/sister and he played with them and their dogs all day. He was VERY tried when I got him back (was a nice change
of pace).
While he was with him he went for his first swim in the pond. I knew he was not afraid of water because he always gets in the shower with me in the
mornings. But mom said he swam like a submarine, not trying to keep his head up, just a perfect swimmer.

Oh very much so....he is doing great in his training. He sits and recalls very reliably on command. He is doing really good with just being on a
leash in general. And has started work (and making progress) into learning plotz (lay down). So pretty darn good for just over 11 weeks!
I plan to continue training him lots. He gets at least two training sessions a day, and I imagine that will continue. I have a big road plan as to
what I want to teach him.

I have never been able to get a dog to stop pulling on a leash, how do you train them for that? I've even tries a choke collar and it doesn't seem
to matter.

He was a little snot last night, lots of whining, not much sleep. And this morning he was fired up like crazy. But in general he has been really
relaxed and good the last few days.

We ended up buying glitch a $10 inflatable pool on saturday. I wanted a hard plastic one, but it is all I could find. He instantly started playing
with it.
He loves to splash!
But the pool could not handle so much puppy fun and love...and quickly started to get punctured
A quick game of fetch to dry off
But that can't keep Glitch distracted long....and before long, he was back trying to play in the pool. Despite it being now in a flat and sad
state.
Not soon after, we had a wet, tired and relaxed puppy. Which was well worth a $10 pool!
What a fun day/weekend we had...I had to share, he was just too fun and too cute.

He got his training vest in today. Had to take a snapshot of him. He is so crazy cute and looks like a working dog in it. I got it so that I can
take him on public transit and places like that. He does not seem to mind it at all, and does not even seem to notice it.

New pictures!!!
Glitch went on his first backpacking trip this last weekend. We did not go too far, about .5 mile, but we made several trips. He did great, but was
a very tired puppy after that. The first few pics are from the trip, him outside, or in the tent chewing on a bone happily.
