Site setup and feature progress
I had posted details about the merger between acidchat IRC network and the BBD Forum into a new entity in this thread: http://den.spicylemons.com/viewthread.php?tid=2971
Now that progress is well under way and progressing nicely I decided it is worth it to post a new thread here to now track it.
Here are the things currently transferred:
* spicylemons home page for news, FAQ (including IRC mode reference), web or java based chat, etc
* the den forums at the new server, with the new theme
* denOS working on the new server
* soulBay for when we want to do our next game
* irc network fully changed to the new name and new servers
Here is what is coming still as of the time of this posting (ruffly in the order it will be done):
* move the download archive to the new server, and thin out less accessed files
* move the podcast from it's own section to a post in the news board with links and details about all the episodes
* setup a new poll system for the homepage
* setup a new paste bin that is less susceptible to the spam problems we have now
Stay tuned....things will as always continue to grow and change. Our new setup and design should allow us to update more frequently and easier. |

Updates....the download has been moved to the new server
Email functionality has all been moved to the new server
And our contract on one of the old servers officially ended on the 1st!
I fixed a bug that was found on the boards, where attachments refused to download. This was due to a safety check to prevent attachments from being
directly linked to from other sites. It has now been resolved, and attachments should download and work fine.
The new puppy has been keeping me busy, but I hope within the next three weeks to move the podcast to the new server, and setup the poll system on the
homepage. |
