Obama/Biden in bed with the RIAA?

Well we don't hear much bad coming from the Obama team these days. But I was disappointed in this, and not but a week or two after he was talking about the problems in our copyright system:

The last thing we need to give the RIAA is more justification and support in its botched fear campaign.

He just wont stop:

I love you Obama, but this is BAD! There are lots of articles about this. And I say WITHOUT question there is a clear bias here, not just one, but 5! Come on, the last thing we need to do is empower this rouge organization to do what is already sketchy in the sense of the law.

I think this is setting a tone for the entire administration in the issues of copyright law, and the ideas of free use....and I don't like where it is going. Copyright law needs to be reformed so that it can do what it was originally designed to do! Actions like these are a step in the wrong direction, making a bad problem worse.

I can not believe that as politically oriented this forum is, that no one has anything to say about this? I love obama, but we have to face the bad with the good, and show our distaste when he does something that is not in the right direction.

Jensen, I tried to read that first "blog" you posted up but the format (if it could even be called that) is so shitty that the info is almost impossible to wade through! How about you give us simple minded folk a summary or something....

Josh, martyrs that have moved their servers to the netherlands... they have made it clear that they cannot and will not pay the 3+ million dollars and that the tracking servers will continue to operate regardless of this verdict.

Do you guys support the EFF? The Electronic Frontier Foundation fights the RIAA day in and day out, supporting digital privacy and a secure place in the digital age. I find their newsletters to be highly insightful and paired well with a red wine....
